For those who are struggling this week…

You are allowed to feel heartache for the things that don’t work out. You can understand the rationality behind a decision, and still feel the feelings. You can acknowledge that there is attachment, but you can also acknowledge the sadness when something you believe is meant for you doesn’t stay.

What is meant to be for us will be for us.

No forcing.
No changing.
No pulling.

Do not discount the heaviness and heartache though. The struggle of missing out on our heart’s desires is real.

For those of you who believe you’re broken…

I wish I could hold your heart with tenderness, and let you know that there is a love out there, and that the love you are seeking is all within you. Whilst our self-love journey can go a long way, we can also acknowledge that we want a companion; that we also seek friendship and support.

I hope you can speak to your heart with kindness and compassion. You are not broken.

You are whole, and a burst of light in this darkness.

I hope you can find your light within.

For those of you who are unable to speak to your strengths…

For those of you who are heartbroken…

Do not hurt yourself further. Do not be so unkind to yourself to believe that this is the only shot at love you’ll get. You will get multiple chances for as long as you are open to love.

Do not be fooled though; being open to love means being open to heartbreak again. But have faith, for you are not the same person you were prior to your heartbreak. You will not be the same person next month, next year, or the time after.

My child… I know you wish for something different, but you cannot change the circumstances that do not belong to you.

So here is me telling you… You do deserve love. Healthy love. All the kinds of love that your heart desires.

Have faith. What is meant for you will come your way.

And yet, even then, for those of you who believe you don’t deserve love…

Do not give up on the hope of love.

Do not get desperate looking at the world around you, and settle for less than what is for you.

You deserve a wholehearted love.
You deserve a love that is pure,
and romantic,
and dreamy,
and soulful.

Love that breathes into you.

Love that makes you feel alive.

The kind of love that feels like two puzzle pieces that fit perfectly together. Not because of the two of you are perfect on your own, but because the two of you are perfect together.
